Golden Muse Winery
About
Golden Muse Winery celebrates the free-spirited lifestyle of the Golden Age of Paris – when people like La Goulue, queen of the can-can, took to the stage with her ruffled skirts, or Alfred Jarry, the playwright, rode his bicycle around the streets of Paris with his face painted green. More than a hundred years later, these eccentricities are alive and well at Golden Muse Winery, where we fuse delicious wine and inspiring art to offer a unique experience. Come visit our Steampunk-style tasting room, peruse our world-class collection of art, and enjoy a glass or two of our selection of vegan-friendly wines. When you visit Golden Muse Winery, you’ll be swept back to turn-of-the-century Paris, where you can mingle with the artists, poets and performers whose legacy lives on today.
In summer 2023, the winery opened a custom-designed 1,200 sq. ft. patio with beautiful views of Lemon Creek, a lavender patch, and outdoor art installments for you to enjoy while sipping your wine.

Features & Varietals
Features:
Our winery and tasting room are nestled in the heart of Lake Michigan Shore wine country in the friendly village of Baroda. We recently completed a 3-year renovation of a former machine shop, and have now opened our doors to the public. We offer vegan-friendly red, white and rosé wines, ranging from dry to semi-sweet. Let our knowledgeable staff guide you through a tasting of our delicious wines (select 4 wines, 2 ounce pours of each, for $15). Guests are also welcome to sip wine in our 1,200 square foot art gallery featuring ecological-themed works from international artists. The gallery includes a small stage where we plan to feature live performance and special events.
Golden Muse owner Analisa Leppanen holds a Ph.D. in art history and taught for 25 years in colleges and universities in Chicago and Southern California. Upon switching career paths, she completed 9 courses in the wine & viticulture program at Lake Michigan College, and passed her introductory sommelier exam with the Court of Master Sommeliers. She is onsite almost every day to answer questions and greet guests with a welcoming smile.
